The Tempranillo Comes from Yecla, Spain!
Until the 1850's it was common for Spanish winemakers to store wine in cueros, pig skins turned inside out and sealed with resin. Hung from rafters of bodegas, cueros retained the shape of the pig and were the same "big-bellied monsters" legendary Don Quixote battled in the 17th century.
Tasting Notes
Our 2006 Encyclopedia Tempranillo exhibits a rich, dark red color and offers aromas of ripe berries, black plums and spices. Its medium weight and supple tannins shoulder bright juicy flavors of crushed raspberries, plum, sage and earthy minerals.

The Cabernet Sauvignon Comes from Bordeaux, France!
Bordeaux literally means "point of the moon," in reference to the half-moon shape formed by the rivers flowing through the region. As early as the 13th century, English trade merchants were stopping along these rivers in search of wine.
Tasting Notes
Our 2006 Encyclopedia Cabernet Sauvignon displays a deep garnet hue and offers aromas of black cherry, sage and toasted spice. Its well-balanced tannins, lower alcohol content and round, fleshy fruit flavors create a more subtle, elegant Cabernet when compared to those from California.

The Pinot Grigio Comes from Delle Venezie, Italy!
With more than 1,000 grape varieties among millions of planted vineyards, wine is life in Italy. Luckily, wherever there is wine, there is also food. Italians like to say that people do not over drink; they simply have not eaten enough.

The Reisling Comes from Mosel, Germany!
Riesling became Germany's premier wine grape almost by accident. Based on a legend dating back to the 14th century, Cistercian monks were so upset with their harvest one year that they ripped out all of the red grapes, leaving only Riesling to flourish throughout the countryside.
Tasting Notes
2007 was a star vintage for German Riesling. Mosel experienced a warm September, which promoted full fruit maturation. Our 2007 Encyclopedia Riesling exhibits a pale straw hue and has just a touch of sweetness balanced by a delicate acidity. Alluring aromas and flavors of . . .

Director's Cut Zinfandel 2006
-- $24.00
-- Hear what winemaker Corey Beck has to say about the Director's Cut Zinfandel! Click here for a video clip.
Every bottle of Director's Cut honors the history of filmmaking. The graphic band which encircles the bottle was used in a 19th century invention called a zoetrope, which produces the illusion of moving pictures.
We source our Zinfandel grapes from Dry Creek Valley, specifically vineyards on the benchlands and hillsides, which are farmed using two distinctive methods. The combination of the area’s climate, our vineyard sites, and these two methods produces excellent fruit with intensely concentrated flavor. We also blend in small amounts of Petite Sirah for added structure.

Every bottle of Director's Cut honors the history of filmmaking. The graphic band which encircles the bottle was used in a 19th century invention called a zoetrope, which produces the illusion of moving pictures.
To ensure that we get the maximum amount of color and flavor from our Zinfandel grapes, we use
a variety of techniques, which include fermentation in open-top fermenters for approximately one
week and implementing several punch downs a day. We also blend in small amounts of Petite Sirah
for added structure. The wine was aged in French oak barrels for a mere twelve months. That was all
that was necessary given the fully mature internal structure of the grapes and the fact we didn’t want
to mask a single one of this vintage’s amazing aromatic compounds. This wine pushes the envelope
of sheer decadence with an expressive fragrance of briary berries, strawberry jam . . .
Francis Coppola Diamond Alicante Bouschet 2007
-- $19.00
-- Why did we decide to make an Alicante Bouschet? Click here and let winemaker Corey Beck tell you the story. As a child, Francis Coppola’s grandfather made homemade wine using Alicante Bouschet grapes shipped in by train. Some years back, Mr. Coppola expressed a yearning for that unique varietal he grew up with, so we traveled about and tasted grapes in order to find the vineyard we thought produced the highest quality Alicante. We found that vineyard in Lodi, California, an appellation well known for producing red varietals that thrive in a warm climate. Our Magenta Label Alicante Bouschet is made from the fruit of 85-year-old vines. Rich in color and loaded with lush, jammy fruit, this smooth, medium-bodied red is richly textured, long on the finish, and easy to pair with a variety of grilled meats, barbecued pork sandwiches and international favorites such as empanadas. Limit: 2 bottles per customerLimit for Rosso & Bianco Members: 6 bottles
Francis Coppola Diamond Cabernet Sauvignon 2006
-- $19.00
-- 90 Points - Cheers
Gold Medal - Los Angeles International Wine Competition
Wondering what the taste profile of our Diamond Cabernet is? Click here to see what winemaker Corey Beck would say.
We combine fruit from appellations as far north as El Dorado and as far south as Paso Robles, where soils range from sandy clay loam to black volcanic obsidian. Likewise, some of our vineyards experience a unique diurnal temperature pattern; extremely hot days are tempered by very cool nights, which slows the ripening process and enhances the flavor and complexity of this Cabernet. It has immense concentration, rich color, and profuse aromatics that give way to layers of enduring flavor.
Francis Coppola Diamond Claret 2006
-- $21.00
-- Our 2006 Diamond Claret was a Gold Medal Winner at both the Long Beach Grand Cru Wine Competition AND the California State Fair Wine Competition!
How did we "raise the bar" on our new Claret? Click here to see what winemaker Corey Beck has to say.
The 2006 vintage marks the first year we produced Claret at our new home in Sonoma County. This is the first year we blended in fruit from Rosso & Bianco winery, sourcing Merlot and Cabernet Franc from our Estate vines in Geyserville.
Francis Coppola Diamond Merlot 2006
-- $20.00
-- Gold Medal Winner - San Francisco International Wine Competition
Why does winemaker Corey Beck add Syrah to our Diamond Merlot? Click here to find out.
By sourcing fruit from several appellations we can create a Merlot exuding multiple layers of flavors. Grapes from Napa provide weight, sweet fruit flavors, intense aromatics; Sonoma fruit contributes natural acidity to create more balance and finesse; Monterey County grapes provide concentration.
To enrich the color, we blend in small amounts of Syrah and Petite Sirah. It is aged in small French oak barrels, which lend lovely notes of sweet vanilla to this elegant, full-bodied Merlot.
Francis Coppola Diamond Pinot Grigio 2007
-- $16.00
-- Announcing a brand new addition to our Francis Coppola Diamond Collection wines!
Popularized in northern Italy where the climate is cool and seafood is abundant, Pinot Grigio is a varietal that requires a temperate climate and delicate handling. Our Pinot Grigio is grown in the cool climate of Monterey County, which has ideal growing conditions for this grape.
Monterey experienced an outstanding 2007 vintage, which was fortuitous for our premier release of Diamond Collection Pinot Grigio. Less Vigorous vines produced fewer and smaller fruit clusters, a reduced yield, and exceptionally flavorful fruit.
Pair our Pinot Grigio with:
Lemon chicken
Shellfish
A variety of hors d’oeuvres.
Francis Coppola Diamond Sauvignon Blanc 2007
-- $17.00
-- What is the style of our Diamond Sauvignon Blanc? Click here to see what winemaker Corey Beck has to say.
To create a light, fresh Sauvignon Blanc that displays intense fruit flavors and exceptional balance, we source grapes from three different appellations. Grapes that come from Napa give us juicy tropical fruit flavors, the Alexander Valley fruit provides a solid backbone of citrus, while Mendocino grapes contribute to the luscious aromatics in our wine. To keep this varietal bright and refreshing, we ferment and finish our wine exclusively in stainless steel.Food Pairings
• Goat cheese and mixed greens
• Baked Halibut
• Spicy shrimp and rice
Francis Coppola Diamond Zinfandel 2006
-- $17.00
-- Gold Medal Winner from the Long Beach Grand Cru Wine Competition!
Why do we add Petite Syrah to our Diamond Zinfandel? Click here to have winemaker Corey Beck tell you why.
When people ask us where the best Zinfandel is grown, we aren’t quite sure what to say because there are so many spectacular regions where this varietal thrives. Our Diamond Zinfandel captures the essence of several different appellations, which when blended together create this unique and complex wine.
The 2006 vintage is special because it marks the first year we made our Diamond Collection wines at our new home in Sonoma County. Having our very own winemaking facility not only heightens the quality of our wines, it fills us with a sense of pride and accomplishment, and fulfills our longtime goal of being able to give our hallmark Diamond wines a home.

Francis Coppola Reserve Chardonnay 2006
-- $26.00
-- Click here to see a video clip of winemaker, Corey Beck, talk about our Dutton Ranch Chardonnay.
100% Dutton Ranch designated. Situated beside nearby apple orchards, the Dutton Ranch vineyard rather ironically produces fruit that is reminiscent of apple pie, rich yet sufficiently balanced by a crisp, natural acidity; a factor which allows these wines to age and develop greater complexity over time.
Available exclusively through the Rosso & Bianco winery and the online store, our Francis Coppola Reserve 2006 Chardonnay demonstrates exceptional flavor complexity due to a very long season. Initial impressions of soft, creamy citrus and a hint of minerals give way to luscious flavors of pear, green apple and smoky spice, which build and lengthen toward a finish of ripe fruit and caramel.
