The Tempranillo Comes from Yecla, Spain!
Until the 1850's it was common for Spanish winemakers to store wine in cueros, pig skins turned inside out and sealed with resin. Hung from rafters of bodegas, cueros retained the shape of the pig and were the same "big-bellied monsters" legendary Don Quixote battled in the 17th century.
Tasting Notes
Our 2006 Encyclopedia Tempranillo exhibits a rich, dark red color and offers aromas of ripe berries, black plums and spices. Its medium weight and supple tannins shoulder bright juicy flavors of crushed raspberries, plum, sage and earthy minerals.

The Cabernet Sauvignon Comes from Bordeaux, France!
Bordeaux literally means "point of the moon," in reference to the half-moon shape formed by the rivers flowing through the region. As early as the 13th century, English trade merchants were stopping along these rivers in search of wine.
Tasting Notes
Our 2006 Encyclopedia Cabernet Sauvignon displays a deep garnet hue and offers aromas of black cherry, sage and toasted spice. Its well-balanced tannins, lower alcohol content and round, fleshy fruit flavors create a more subtle, elegant Cabernet when compared to those from California.

The Reisling Comes from Mosel, Germany!
Riesling became Germany's premier wine grape almost by accident. Based on a legend dating back to the 14th century, Cistercian monks were so upset with their harvest one year that they ripped out all of the red grapes, leaving only Riesling to flourish throughout the countryside.
Tasting Notes
2007 was a star vintage for German Riesling. Mosel experienced a warm September, which promoted full fruit maturation. Our 2007 Encyclopedia Riesling exhibits a pale straw hue and has just a touch of sweetness balanced by a delicate acidity. Alluring aromas and flavors of . . .
